In the 10th match minute, Rincon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Polo Gaviria to maneuver through the defense. In the 12th minute, Porfiro Unanue got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rincon's goalkeeper Berasko Espino, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Porfiro Unanue sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Oto Betancia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 23 minutes into the match, Rincon's goalkeeper Berasko Espino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Oto Betancia. Berasko Espino made an important save on a dangerous shot by Oto Betancia in the 25th minute. Bide Yzaguirre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toli Estevez, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 29th minute, Alberino Detres fired a really elegant long shot, but Berasko Espino threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. After a defensive mix-up in Suarez's zone, Toli Estevez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bide Yzaguirre came out of the goal and Toli Estevez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 94thth minute of the game Toli Estevez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Suarez's Bide Yzaguirre was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Toli Estevez who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 94thth minute tested the skills of Bide Yzaguirre when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Rincon's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Suarez had won, even though Rincon had held more of the ball.
