Andres Burgos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clodoveo Cuesta having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Victoro Lombraña's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Xavieon Guerrez was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. After the first half Arenal were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The supporters of Veras FC booed when Arenal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mundo Valderrama didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Veras FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Arenal's performance. The match ended with a win for Arenal.
