Gartzea Setien showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bero Cediel, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. 18 minutes had been played when some careless play by Raigon FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Txerran Avellano was slow to take the kick. During this time Laureles FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Txerran Avellano almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Raigon FC's Gartzea Setien did a great save. When the match clock showed 18 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Bero Cediel sped through Raigon FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gartzea Setien. Gartzea Setien showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nahia Leniz in the 22nd minute of the match. Gartzea Setien made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nahia Leniz in the 29th minute of play. If Bero Cediel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Raigon FC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Lano Carrillos hit a great ball. Donatello Tegerina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Sidoro Alda managed to get in a good position for a shot. Raigon FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sidoro Alda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stephen Orellana breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Raigon FC's zone, Nahia Leniz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gartzea Setien came out of the goal and Nahia Leniz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The supporters of Laureles FC booed when Raigon FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Resto Montaña didn't get a good kick on the ball. Perico Armendariz's late challenge caught a Raigon FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Perico Armendariz helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Raigon FC booed when Laureles FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sidoro Alda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Stephen Orellana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
