Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Felix Rego kicked off to start the match. Fix Melon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 9th minute, Samuel Pestaña left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Medina fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Samuel Pestaña received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Guilllermo Azpiazu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 19 minutes into the match, Fix Melon dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Teodoro Sedillo, 1-1. Blas Cediel's late challenge caught a Medina's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Blas Cediel helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Salta's Blas Cediel got a free kick in the 28th minute. Guilllermo Azpiazu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuel Pestaña, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 32 minutes into the game, Samuel Pestaña was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Medina's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Salta the free kick. In the 32nd match minute, Medina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Samuel Pestaña to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Salta booed when Medina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernabe Santibañez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Medina's Teodoro Sedillo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Medina from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bahiano Reneros got free with Teodoro Sedillo in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Salta's zone, Samuel Pestaña stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guilllermo Azpiazu came out of the goal and Samuel Pestaña tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Guilllermo Azpiazu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Rego in the 46th minute of play. Salta's Blas Cediel got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fix Melon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Medina's Teodoro Sedillo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fix Melon in the 54th minute of play. When Maura Abeyta fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Medina's protests and gave Maura Abeyta a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Medina getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Maura Abeyta hit a great ball. Fix Melon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Teodoro Sedillo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maura Abeyta got his second yellow card in the match during the 59th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Medina's Maura Abeyta got a free kick in the 59th minute. In the 66th match minute, Medina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernabe Santibañez to maneuver through the defense. Bahiano Reneros struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Teodoro Sedillo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Salta. Samuel Pestaña sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 75 minutes into the match, Medina's Samuel Pestaña sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Guilllermo Azpiazu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 78 minutes, Felix Rego mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Medina and the Salta players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 78th minute, Felix Rego hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Felix Rego received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Teodoro Sedillo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Samuel Pestaña came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Medina fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Samuel Pestaña couldn't finish the play.
