Nuno Anillo kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. In the 6th minute Ezkerra Orallo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iratxo Echarriza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nestor Guipuzcoa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ioritz Hidalgo having to interfere. Polanco's Ioritz Hidalgo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Polanco from getting a goal against them. Polanco's Ioritz Hidalgo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nestor Guipuzcoa in the 18th minute of play. In the 24th minute, Nestor Guipuzcoa fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ioritz Hidalgo, passed just outside the right post. In the 27th minute Ezkerra Orallo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iratxo Echarriza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 35th minute, Juan-Carlos Gota got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 38 minutes, Julian Somavilla mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Minas AFC and the Polanco players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Minas AFC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Julian Somavilla hit a great ball. Iratxo Echarriza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Berriotxoa Gipils, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Arias Madera fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Minas AFC's protests and gave Arias Madera a yellow card for diving instead. After 44 played minutes Minas AFC got a freekick which was hit by Arias Madera. Juan-Carlos Gota received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Ioritz Hidalgo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nestor Guipuzcoa was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Minas AFC's goalkeeper Iratxo Echarriza had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ezkerra Orallo. Paulino Diana charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Paulino Diana the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Paulino Diana hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. 65 minutes into the game, Polanco's Ezkerra Orallo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Iratxo Echarriza made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. If Ezkerra Orallo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 78 minutes, Ezkerra Orallo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Polanco's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ezkerra Orallo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When %teams%'s Berriotxoa Gipils was free in front of goal, he didn't hesitate to shoot 1-3 just inside the left pole, 81 minutes into the game. Iratxo Echarriza was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. The supporters of Minas AFC booed when Polanco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Idacio Sayavedra didn't get a good kick on the ball. 87 minutes into the game, Juan-Carlos Gota cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Ioritz Hidalgo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Berdaitz Laguillo fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Polanco's protests and gave Berdaitz Laguillo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 90th minute, Berdaitz Laguillo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Oscar Espina made a great header on Polanco's corner, it was just that Minas AFC's Iratxo Echarriza managed to reach the ball for a save. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Polanco walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
