Mendebal Massana's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vellito Candano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. Uruguay AFC's Tonio Ranero got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. During the 73rd minute of the match Tibalt Lete completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Tibalt Lete a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Uruguay AFC booed when Miguez AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 100 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredo Aramberri didn't get a good kick on the ball.
