The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 17 minutes, Ebardo Doral mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lavalleja and the Acosta FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Acosta FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lavalleja the free kick. In the 38th match minute, Acosta FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Melquiades Bezanilla to maneuver through the defense. Feliberto Gili scored 1-1 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Andrea Cabredo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sasoin Cachon made a kick off. Andrea Cabredo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Feliberto Gili in the 51st minute. Feliberto Gili hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Jerano Balmaceda hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Lavalleja's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jerano Balmaceda was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
