The referee ignored Savago's protests and gave Hunfredo Oyardo a yellow card for diving instead. After having played for 14 minutes, Checa Moyua managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Savago's supporters crossed their fingers, but Checa Moyua was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Odol Granela got free with Arnas Llordes in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Odol Granela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnas Llordes having to interfere. Tambores's Arnas Llordes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Loramendi Gacel in the 21st minute of play. The supporters of Tambores booed when Savago was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hunfredo Oyardo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 25th minute there was a penalty for Tambores. Xandro Mangas stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ikatz Agustin. 0-1. Savago's Ikatz Agustin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pellas Calva in the 29th minute of play. In the 30th minute Dubardo Ogazon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ikatz Agustin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Pellas Calva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 44 minutes into the match, Tambores's goalkeeper Arnas Llordes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Odol Granela. Arnas Llordes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Checa Moyua in the 48th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Checa Moyua in the 48th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arnas Llordes saved Tambores from getting behind.

After some careless play in the Tambores defense, Loramendi Gacel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arnas Llordes. The Tambores fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arnas Llordes should have stopped the shot. Arnas Llordes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Odol Granela, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Dubardo Ogazon came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Tambores fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dubardo Ogazon couldn't finish the play. If Pellas Calva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 81st minute, Pellas Calva made a precise shot to the right of Ikatz Agustin. Savago's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. If Pellas Calva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Checa Moyua during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The corner led Savago's Shantala Rafales to fire away a dangerous shot which Arnas Llordes despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
