Pinera FC's Melquiades Hoyon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silviano Guerra in the 39th minute of play. Melquiades Hoyon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Silviano Guerra's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. In the 47th minute, Urbasa Villaspasa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Silviano Guerra was the one to do the kick off. In the 59th minute, Martin Cabezon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Manni Soveron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. After having played for 77 minutes, Manni Soveron managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pinera FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manni Soveron was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Pinera FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Suarez FC.
