Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) In the 4th minute, Risso's Fabian Anuncibay seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Fabian Anuncibay the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Risso protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Fabian Anuncibay had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 3 minutes into the game, one of Risso:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 6th minute, Menendo Moyano made a precise shot to the right of Orain Monterrey. Risso's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Xerardo Luina charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Xerardo Luina the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Velasquez booed when Risso was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xerardo Luina didn't get a good kick on the ball. Menendo Moyano took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 14th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Orain Monterrey. Risso's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Velasquez's Florin Cean in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. When Firmo Noguer fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Risso's protests and gave Firmo Noguer a yellow card for diving instead. After 22 played minutes Risso got a freekick which was hit by Firmo Noguer. Velasquez were awarded a corner in the 25th minute after Risso's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Menendo Moyano took the corner. Menendo Moyano made a great header on Velasquez's corner, it was just that Risso's Orain Monterrey managed to reach the ball for a save. If Alex Morelle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Risso's Orain Monterrey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florin Cean in the 30th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Pello Ochavarri managed to get in a good position for a shot. Velasquez's supporters rose to their feet, but Pello Ochavarri was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Orain Monterrey breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Florin Cean received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Orain Monterrey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Morelle in the 42nd minute of play forced Velasquez's goalkeeper Leo Salvador to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Pello Ochavarri came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Velasquez fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pello Ochavarri couldn't finish the play. Florin Cean fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orain Monterrey having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Florin Cean was the one to do the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Mariano Zumalburu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Leo Salvador. That made the score 2-2 in the 51 minute of play. Alex Morelle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leo Salvador having to interfere. Florin Cean sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Florin Cean had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pello Ochavarri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orain Monterrey having to interfere. Orain Monterrey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pello Ochavarri in the 66th minute of play. Pello Ochavarri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Orain Monterrey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Risso's Alex Morelle got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 81st play minute Alex Morelle came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Leo Salvador. 2-3. After 84 played minutes Risso got a freekick which was hit by Mariano Zumalburu. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Artur Teixido during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 87 played minutes Velasquez got a freekick which was hit by Artur Teixido.
