The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Palomas's goal looked a bit too open when Gaizkine Raigadas came free, but Feliciano Echeguren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 5th match minute, Palomas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xinto Salgado to maneuver through the defense. Gaizkine Raigadas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Feliciano Echeguren having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Palomas's Xinto Salgado got a free kick in the 9th minute. Casimiro Ruidio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramone Amaya in the 14th minute of play. A collision led to Echeverria getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Hotz Pescaredo hit a great ball. 20 minutes into the match, Echeverria's goal looked a bit too open when Ramone Amaya came free, but Casimiro Ruidio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Boniel Seoane kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. A collision led to Echeverria getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Boniel Seoane hit a great ball. In the 23rd minute, Ramone Amaya got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hotz Pescaredo during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Palomas booed when Echeverria was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hotz Pescaredo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cambranes Elberdin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Casimiro Ruidio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Casimiro Ruidio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramone Amaya in the 28th minute of the match. Casimiro Ruidio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cambranes Elberdin in the 34th minute of play. With his leg Feliciano Echeguren managed to avoid a goal in the 41stth minute, when Echeverria's Serafin Tormejon fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 45 minutes into the match, Echeverria's goal looked a bit too open when Cambranes Elberdin came free, but Casimiro Ruidio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 45 minutes of play, Palomas's Cambranes Elberdin made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Casimiro Ruidio was left in no man's land by his defense there! Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The supporters of Palomas booed when Echeverria was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gamus Viaña didn't get a good kick on the ball. Feliciano Echeguren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaizkine Raigadas, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. In the 62nd minute of the match Guido Bichesne sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Casimiro Ruidio skillfully saved the ball. Palomas's Cambranes Elberdin got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ramone Amaya fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Casimiro Ruidio having to interfere. In the 70th minute Gaizkine Raigadas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Feliciano Echeguren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cambranes Elberdin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Casimiro Ruidio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Cambranes Elberdin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Feliciano Echeguren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Serafin Tormejon's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. Ramone Amaya sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Palomas eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
