Donzel Zubicoeta started the match with the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jaime Villagran in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edson Barreto saved Laureles from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Villagran in the 10th minute of play forced Laureles's goalkeeper Edson Barreto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Suero Cañada's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 12thth minute, Edson Barreto skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Edson Barreto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Suero Cañada in the 14th minute. After 17 played minutes Laureles got a freekick which was hit by Baiardo Horna. Suero Cañada fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edson Barreto having to interfere. If Donzel Zubicoeta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benet Yarritu kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. In the 31st minute, Loramendi Dorronsoro sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Laureles's Edson Barreto didn't even have to move. In the 32nd match minute, Polanco FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zeledon Silvestre to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Polanco FC defense, Donzel Zubicoeta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paulin Trubica. The Polanco FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paulin Trubica should have stopped the shot. Edorta Trevino charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edorta Trevino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 44th minute, Edorta Trevino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Frans Manes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paulin Trubica read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 51st minute, Aristides Segovia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edson Barreto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaime Villagran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jaime Villagran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edson Barreto having to interfere. Edson Barreto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jaime Villagran's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. Xosepe Fermosel hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. 66 minutes into the match, Laureles's Frans Manes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Paulin Trubica narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Suero Cañada sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 80th minute, Jaime Villagran got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jaime Villagran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edson Barreto having to interfere. The supporters of Polanco FC booed when Laureles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chesus Espinareda didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 89th minute, Jaime Villagran got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Paulin Trubica made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donzel Zubicoeta in the 92nd minute of play. In the 93rd minute, Frans Manes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 95 minutes into the match, Laureles's Frans Manes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Paulin Trubica narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Laureles supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Laureles would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
