Kaiet Coria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aznar Valdenebro having to interfere. Rioja Pato sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Soriano's Aznar Valdenebro got control of the ball when Valente Larquera tried to sneak it across the goal line. Soriano's Jakes Usabiaga got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 38 minutes, Casado Molinillo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Durazno and the Soriano players grew even worse after the yellow card. Casado Molinillo hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Claus Benero's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Breogan Aguiar was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. The corner led Durazno's Xose Tarabejano to fire away a dangerous shot which Aznar Valdenebro despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Claus Benero stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Jakes Usabiaga came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Soriano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jakes Usabiaga couldn't finish the play. After 61 played minutes Soriano got a freekick which was hit by Lazcano Canto. Nuxila Lalo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Aznar Valdenebro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Durazno's Mercurio Zazo got a free kick in the 65th minute. Soriano's Aznar Valdenebro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valente Larquera in the 68th minute of play. In the 78th minute Claus Benero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Breogan Aguiar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 84 minutes into the game, Dalmacio Hermosilla was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Soriano's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Durazno the free kick. Rioja Pato received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. When the match clock showed 95 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Xose Tarabejano sped through Soriano's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Aznar Valdenebro. Jakes Usabiaga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 100th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Soriano's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
