After 32 played minutes Sosa AFC got a freekick which was hit by Cruz Balladares. Frantxizko Arranz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ermano Teijelo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. If Argoitz Guifens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 46 minutes into the match, Cerro largo uy's Gumaro Magaz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ermano Teijelo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Cerro largo uy players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sosa AFC were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Frantxizko Arranz made the kick off in the second half. Sosa AFC's Ursino Valderramal got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Argoitz Guifens kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Sosa AFC's Vermudo Manzano got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 71 minutes into the game, Roland Romerano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sosa AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cerro largo uy the free kick. A collision led to Sosa AFC getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Roland Romerano hit a great ball. Eleazar Tovar was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 72nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Ermano Teijelo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frantxizko Arranz in the 76th minute of the match. Ermano Teijelo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Frantxizko Arranz's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. Ermano Teijelo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frantxizko Arranz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 89 minutes into the match, Sosa AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Frantxizko Arranz came free, but Ermano Teijelo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Sosa AFC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
