An unexpected shot in the 33rd minute by Tebaldo Soldevilla got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After having played for 34 minutes, Frantxizko Arranz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cerro largo uy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frantxizko Arranz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Argoitz Guifens came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Cerro largo uy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Argoitz Guifens couldn't finish the play. Frantxizko Arranz might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Giro Nestares. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Frantxizko Arranz ran back to his position shaking his head. Frantxizko Arranz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giro Nestares having to interfere. Giro Nestares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frantxizko Arranz in the 46th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Baltasar Urruchi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tebaldo Soldevilla went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Tambores FC's zone, Frantxizko Arranz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Giro Nestares came out of the goal and Frantxizko Arranz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Argoitz Guifens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Frantxizko Arranz succeeded in the game's 63rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-1. Leonardo Zalaya kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Baltasar Urruchi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardo Quijana in the 70th minute of play. 72 minutes into the match, Cerro largo uy's goal looked a bit too open when Ismael Villapol came free, but Baltasar Urruchi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Baltasar Urruchi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tebaldo Soldevilla in the 74th minute of play. Ricardo Quijana scored 3-1 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Baltasar Urruchi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 87th minute, Frantxizko Arranz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Giro Nestares was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. In the 91st minute, Meendez Viñe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Tambores FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Cerro largo uy had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
