An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernan Ocomardia in the 47th minute of play forced Chapicuy's goalkeeper Gilabert Galiana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joselito Palomarez to make the kick off. In the 77th match minute, Chapicuy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geronimo Grolet to maneuver through the defense. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gilabert Galiana showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Chapicuy's Gilabert Galiana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joselito Palomarez in the 82nd minute of play. In the 84th minute, Joselito Palomarez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gilabert Galiana didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fernan Ocomardia went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Piraraja were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Chapicuy to leave the ground with a draw.
