In the 2nd minute, Izotz Salais hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 12th match minute, Medina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erruki Coya to maneuver through the defense. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Medina's goalkeeper Weather Echandi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the Gervasio defense, Edilberto Mor kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lluterio Orbea. The Gervasio fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lluterio Orbea should have stopped the shot. If Edilberto Mor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 24 played minutes Medina got a freekick which was hit by Izotz Salais. Quinto Loro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Gervasio booed when Medina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frantzes Ucieda didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lluterio Orbea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dominguez Delatorre in the 37th minute of the match. When Edilberto Mor came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Medina fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edilberto Mor couldn't finish the play. If Edilberto Mor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Quinto Loro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Weather Echandi having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Lluterio Orbea came out of the goal and Dominguez Delatorre tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edilberto Mor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lluterio Orbea having to interfere. In the 64th minute, Etxeberri Boñal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Dominguez Delatorre's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lluterio Orbea was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. When Quinto Loro came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Gervasio fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Quinto Loro couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Conrao Trejo in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Weather Echandi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Conrao Trejo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Quinto Loro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gervasio's Conrao Trejo got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Quinto Loro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Weather Echandi having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Medina walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
