When Veremundo Herrero came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Constitution fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Veremundo Herrero couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luis Lecubarri in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Urti Arroyo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 11 minutes, Jaume Alzola managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Echeverria AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jaume Alzola was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Luis Lecubarri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jaume Alzola received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Eduardo Bernedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arnulfo Tebe's late challenge caught a Constitution's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 42nd minute of the match, Ikatz Agranja tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Eduardo Bernedo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 42nd match minute, Constitution was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zigor Rebellon to maneuver through the defense. Jaume Alzolas short, quick shot in the 45thth minute got Eduardo Bernedo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ikatz Agranja stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Urti Arroyo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Veremundo Herrero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
