The audience was convinced that Elija Jerena's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sidoro Alexandro was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. When the match clock showed 13 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Pitin Aizpurua sped through Totoral AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sidoro Alexandro. 16 minutes into the match, Elija Jerena notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Totoral AFC's Sidoro Alexandro. In the 44th minute Elija Jerena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sidoro Alexandro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sidoro Alexandro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mel Iriusta in the 48th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bartolome Vasallo was the one to do the kick off. Pitin Aizpurua might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sidoro Alexandro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Paco Bribiesca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roano Villoria having to interfere. Totoral AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Paco Bribiesca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roano Villoria breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Guayabos's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
