In the 17th match minute, Suarez was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paz Sancha to maneuver through the defense. Otsoko Larreta stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Caio Tuesta's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Gomez Gene could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Marcelino Lillo made a huge save. If Neto Caval had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Gomez Gene managed to get in a good position for a shot. Diaz AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gomez Gene was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcelino Lillo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 41 minutes into the match, Suarez's goalkeeper Marcelino Lillo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gomez Gene. With a little luck, Suarez's Marcelino Lillo got control of the ball when Gomez Gene tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gomez Gene struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Marcelino Lillo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Diaz AFC. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Baladi Manjon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Todor Corral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Baladi Manjon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Caio Tuesta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Otsoko Larreta made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Neto Caval in the 68th minute of play forced Suarez's goalkeeper Marcelino Lillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcelino Lillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Neto Caval in the 71st minute of play. When Gomez Gene came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Diaz AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gomez Gene couldn't finish the play. Marcelino Lillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gomez Gene in the 80th minute of the match. Caio Tuesta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Otsoko Larreta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Otsoko Larreta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baladi Manjon in the 87th minute of the match. Baladi Manjon might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Otsoko Larreta. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Baladi Manjon ran back to his position shaking his head. Neto Caval fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelino Lillo having to interfere. After 92 played minutes Suarez got a freekick which was hit by Fraco Orden. Marcelino Lillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gomez Gene in the 95th minute of play. Suarez's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
