Fidensio Cimbrelo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evis Porquera in the 3rd minute of the match. After having played for 5 minutes, Quintan Menoyo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aguila's supporters crossed their fingers, but Quintan Menoyo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 7 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Cardal! In the 9th minute there was a penalty for Aguila. Arotza Gracia stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Reimundo Almarza. 1-0. Aguila's Fidensio Cimbrelo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evis Porquera in the 12th minute of play. Arnoldo Melon's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 17thth minute, Reimundo Almarza skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Arnoldo Melon who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 18thth minute tested the skills of Reimundo Almarza when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Fidensio Cimbrelo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 32nd minute Evis Porquera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fidensio Cimbrelo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jesco Bierna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reimundo Almarza having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Quintan Menoyo made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Quintan Menoyo in the 54th minute of play forced Cardal's goalkeeper Reimundo Almarza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Fidensio Cimbrelo managed to avoid a goal in the 57thth minute, when Cardal's Eloy Aquejano fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Arnoldo Melon might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Reimundo Almarza. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out.
