Tome Camudio hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. In the 34thth minute of the game Santana Marcos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Itapebi FC's Stanislao Tielve was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Santana Marcoss short, quick shot in the 35thth minute got Stanislao Tielve to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Taurino Mejia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cortez Socorro in the 37th minute of the match. Itapebi FC's Stanislao Tielve proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Itapebi FC from getting a goal against them. Santana Marcos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stanislao Tielve having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Cortez Socorro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Taurino Mejia was relentless in the 49th minute of the game. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

In the 53rd minute Gaskon Ispuzua shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Taurino Mejia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stanislao Tielve made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidro Heres in the 70th minute of play. In the 75th minute Progreso AFC were awarded a corner. Agustin Bujan went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Valente Correduria almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Itapebi FC's Stanislao Tielve did a great save. Chano Crespo kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. 83 minutes into the match, Progreso AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Cortez Socorro came free, but Taurino Mejia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Agustin Bujan during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Agustin Bujan hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. The supporters of Itapebi FC booed when Progreso AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valente Correduria didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Progreso AFC's zone, Gaskon Ispuzua stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Taurino Mejia came out of the goal and Gaskon Ispuzua tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 98th minute, Cortez Socorro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Santana Marcos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Progreso AFC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Itapebi FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Itapebi FC.
