Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Itapebi FC booed when Charqueada was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Honesto Solbeida didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 17th minute, Edwardo Carrios sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Charqueada's Elias Estebanez didn't even have to move. Stanislao Tielve showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elixio Carasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Charqueada were awarded a corner in the 34th minute after Itapebi FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Yiyo Arrugueta took the corner. Charqueada's Yiyo Arrugueta was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Stanislao Tielve in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 36th minute, Gaskon Ispuzua got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Elias Estebanez was out of position in the 37 minute of play, and Cortez Socorro capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cortez Socorro really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Gaskon Ispuzua fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elias Estebanez having to interfere. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Charqueada's goalkeeper Elias Estebanez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cortez Socorro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elias Estebanez having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gaskon Ispuzua to make the kick off. Charqueada's Elias Estebanez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cortez Socorro in the 54th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Gaskon Ispuzua managed to get in a good position for a shot. Itapebi FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gaskon Ispuzua was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elias Estebanez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Itapebi FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 62nd minute, when Elixio Carasa scored to the left of an out of position Stanislao Tielve, making the score, 2-1. The audience was convinced that Elixio Carasa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Stanislao Tielve was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. Stanislao Tielve showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elixio Carasa in the 67th minute of the match. In the 75th minute, Elixio Carasa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Charqueada fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaskon Ispuzua in the 81st minute of play forced Charqueada's goalkeeper Elias Estebanez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cortez Socorro in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elias Estebanez saved Charqueada from getting behind. If Cortez Socorro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Americo Vicioso kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Itapebi FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 93rd minute. Penalty! Yiyo Arrugueta shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Itapebi FC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
