An unexpected shot in the 8th minute by Pero Guruzeta got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Marin Prior showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guillerme Gajardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Vicente Madrigal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Izel Villafranca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Chamizo FC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Zeledon Santoni hit a great ball. Marin Prior took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Norberto Ciaran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 26 minutes into the match, Vergara AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Norberto Ciaran came free, but Marin Prior reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vicente Madrigal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Izel Villafranca made a huge save. If Pero Guruzeta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Xulian Nunez during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 30th minute, Xulian Nunez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pero Guruzeta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Izel Villafranca having to interfere. Izel Villafranca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pero Guruzeta in the 35th minute of play. After 35 played minutes Chamizo FC got a freekick which was hit by Zeledon Santoni. After 37 minutes, Lander Ramirez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vergara AFC and the Chamizo FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Vergara AFC's Lander Ramirez got a free kick in the 37th minute. If Vicente Madrigal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Guillerme Gajardo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marin Prior read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. Marin Prior went to the wrong direction when Oinaz Armero was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pero Guruzeta to strike the kick off in the second half. During the 89th minute of the match Lander Ramirez completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Lander Ramirez a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Vergara AFC getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Lander Ramirez hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Vicente Madrigal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vergara AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Vicente Madrigal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Izel Villafranca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vergara AFC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
