Osoro Real fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rocendo Iturriaga having to interfere. Caetano Soria hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Roberto Ibañez took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 13th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rocendo Iturriaga. C. A. Peñarol's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 15th minute, Salamon Borrero left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Quintana AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 19th match minute, C. A. Peñarol was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eleazar Igual to maneuver through the defense. After 21 minutes of play, Quintana AFC's Osoro Real made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rocendo Iturriaga was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, C. A. Peñarol's Caetano Soria got a free kick in the 24th minute. Salamon Borrero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rocendo Iturriaga having to interfere. Cordaro Meca struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Ignacio Lobato didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C. A. Peñarol. Ignacio Lobato took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leon Vallino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 37th minute, Quintana AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Cordaro Meca fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. C. A. Peñarol's Rocendo Iturriaga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Salamon Borrero in the 41st minute of play. Cordaro Meca might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ignacio Lobato. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cordaro Meca ran back to his position shaking his head. Osoro Real received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Rocendo Iturriaga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Leon Vallino made the kick off in the second half. Salamon Borrero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rocendo Iturriaga having to interfere. With his leg Rocendo Iturriaga managed to avoid a goal in the 56thth minute, when Quintana AFC's Osoro Real fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Frasquito Ceja could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Rocendo Iturriaga made a huge save. Salamon Borrero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Rocendo Iturriaga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ignacio Lobato came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by C. A. Peñarol's Leon Vallino. But to his dismay, Leon Vallino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Salamon Borrero managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quintana AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Salamon Borrero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rocendo Iturriaga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rocendo Iturriaga made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Osoro Real sent off a good shot on target. Salamon Borrero struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Rocendo Iturriaga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Quintana AFC. If Salamon Borrero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 87th minute, Eleazar Igual hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Salamon Borrero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Quintana AFC's zone, Leon Vallino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ignacio Lobato came out of the goal and Leon Vallino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 99 played minutes Quintana AFC got a freekick which was hit by Salamon Borrero. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
