When Lucas Beltrán came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Las Piedras F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lucas Beltrán couldn't finish the play. If Lucas Beltrán had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manolo Zalvide fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emil Pleban having to interfere. In the 12th minute, Lucas Beltrán got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Olaf Ragnarsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xzaiver Quejura having to interfere. Lucas Beltrán blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Xzaiver Quejura having to make a save. Carqueja's Egoi Pedrosa was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Emil Pleban in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 23rd minute, Lucas Beltrán got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Emil Pleban made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Manolo Zalvide sent off a good shot on target. Manolo Zalvides short, quick shot in the 31stth minute got Emil Pleban to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Las Piedras F.C's Emil Pleban played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipo Palmero in the 35th minute of play. Rıza Selami sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Las Piedras F.C defense, Manolo Zalvide kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emil Pleban. The Las Piedras F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emil Pleban should have stopped the shot. Las Piedras F.C's Olaf Ragnarsson got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Olaf Ragnarsson made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ihintza Requena during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 51st minute, Ihintza Requena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 78th minute Xofre Setien shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emil Pleban saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 79th minute, Olaf Ragnarsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Las Piedras F.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Emil Pleban took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felipo Palmero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 87th minute Lucas Beltrán shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xzaiver Quejura saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emil Pleban showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ihintza Requena in the 90th minute of the match. Emil Pleban made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manolo Zalvide in the 92nd minute of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 95 minutes into the game, when Tomas Patxi put in a rough tackle. In the 94th minute, one of Las Piedras F.C:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Las Piedras F.C. The Las Piedras F.C players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Carqueja from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
