In the 16th minute, Platon Laviada got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 19th minute, one of Ahogados AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ahogados AFC. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Platon Laviada managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ahogados AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Platon Laviada was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tristan Guereño breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Izotz Larena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Artal Codosal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ahogados AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Nastasio Portilla ran over to the corner to take the kick.
