Ronaldo Alija showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xavies Hordas, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. 24 minutes into the game, Xavies Hordas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Canas AFC's Ixidor Sancho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cutberto Madrigal in the 84th minute of play. Ostots Tavera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronaldo Alija having to interfere. In the 94th minute Olando Talavera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronaldo Alija saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Heriberto had won after a very even match.
