Aznaro Garate hit a great ball. Iruinea Larren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jaen Aspurua having to interfere. Rius Lavandera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fidel Villalobos in the 13th minute of the match. Maldonado FC's Jaen Aspurua played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciro Merodo in the 16th minute of play. In the 24th minute, Virgilio Toral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 29th match minute, Gardel FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aznaro Garate to maneuver through the defense. Rius Lavandera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Seme Echandi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Seme Echandi got free with Rius Lavandera in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
