Bordat Mesia hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. If Erubiel Bañuelos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Manga getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Conrao Oyarzabal hit a great ball. Salta AFC were awarded a corner in the 10th minute after Manga's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Josepe Rovira took the corner. The corner ended in Josepe Rovira almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Manga's Erasto Cereceda did a great save. Espiridion Ubiña's late challenge caught a Manga's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Espiridion Ubiña helped the player get up and apologised. 12 minutes into the game, one of Salta AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 13th minute there was a penalty for Manga. Baumar Ribalta stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Paio Alberdi. 0-1. After 15 played minutes Manga got a freekick which was hit by Charro Zamarripa. Erubiel Bañuelos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paio Alberdi having to interfere. 25 minutes into the game, Salta AFC's Emiliano Barcena nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Erasto Cereceda made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. A nice corner shot did that Josepe Rovira got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Erasto Cereceda quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Israel Caldeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 43rd minute Erubiel Bañuelos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paio Alberdi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Israel Caldeiro made a kick off. Fernando Aneutes hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Emiliano Barcena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Erasto Cereceda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 67th minute, Emiliano Barcena got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Salta AFC's Paio Alberdi got control of the ball when Erubiel Bañuelos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Erasto Cereceda stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gaizkine Secadura's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. If Erubiel Bañuelos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paio Alberdi made a fantastic save in the 97th minute, when Erubiel Bañuelos sent off a good shot on target. The Salta AFC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Manga's performance. The match ended with a win for Manga.
