Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Mataojo's Fernando Montemayor started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Chacarita's Dani Rugama played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xaver Moniz in the 3rd minute of play. When Erubiel Orejo fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chacarita's protests and gave Erubiel Orejo a yellow card for diving instead. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cilio Ocariz was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Chacarita's zone, Xaver Moniz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dani Rugama came out of the goal and Xaver Moniz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Xaver Moniz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Chacarita's goalkeeper Dani Rugama, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Balasi Mariño made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bixintxo Sereno in the 97th minute of play. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
