In the 6thth minute of the game Cornelio Briceño who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mataojito's Teofilo Morillo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Cloyo Teberga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sauce's supporters rose to their feet, but Cloyo Teberga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teofilo Morillo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Theodore Tramontes charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Theodore Tramontes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Theodore Tramontes hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. 10 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Sauce's Cloyo Teberga fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Arias Canaria kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. In the 11th minute of the match Celestino Camison shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Teofilo Morillo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Mataojito's goal looked a bit too open when Cornelio Briceño came free, but Teofilo Morillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gian-Carlo Marin made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Darien Boñar sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Sauce's Jayvier Raedo got a free kick in the 18th minute. A collision led to Mataojito getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Xalbador Peñafiel hit a great ball. With an all-out effort, Mataojito's Gian-Carlo Marin threw himself towards the right post 27 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jayvier Laboy, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 31 minutes into the match, Sauce's goalkeeper Gian-Carlo Marin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Darien Boñar. Teofilo Morillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cornelio Briceño in the 32nd minute of play. Gian-Carlo Marin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jayvier Laboy's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Celestino Camison during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 38th match minute, Sauce was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celestino Camison to maneuver through the defense. Hibai Martino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Teofilo Morillo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hibai Martino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. After 54 played minutes Sauce got a freekick which was hit by Jayvier Raedo. Gian-Carlo Marin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Darien Boñar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cornelio Briceño received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Teofilo Morillo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 62 minutes, Jayvier Laboy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mataojito's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jayvier Laboy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 64 minutes into the match, Sauce's goal looked a bit too open when Darien Boñar came free, but Gian-Carlo Marin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Teofilo Morillo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cloyo Teberga in the 67th minute. 72 minutes into the match, Sauce's Cornelio Briceño sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Teofilo Morillo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gregorio Alesanco kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Galeno Padin was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 76th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 83rd minute Cornelio Briceño shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teofilo Morillo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Mataojito getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Bernaldo Campusano hit a great ball. With splendid footwork Cornelio Briceño arrived in front of goal to shoot 0-1 by the left pole in the game's 85th minute. Gian-Carlo Marin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jayvier Laboy in the 88th minute of the match. Mataojito's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Galeno Padin in the 90th minute. The Sauce supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Sauce would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
