Dodorol Rugama sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Ramos Cossa managed to avoid a goal in the 16thth minute, when Risso's Dodorol Rugama fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 19 minutes into the match, Estudiantes de La Plata's goalkeeper Ramos Cossa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mincho Terrazos. In the 21st match minute, Estudiantes de La Plata was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustau Quintianan to maneuver through the defense. If Dodorol Rugama had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 28 minutes into the match, Risso's goal looked a bit too open when Yader Feloaga came free, but Zarbonin Basanta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ramos Cossa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mincho Terrazos in the 41st minute of play. After 43 played minutes Risso got a freekick which was hit by Xuaco Tofino. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dodorol Rugama made a kick off. Yader Feloaga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zarbonin Basanta having to interfere. Ramos Cossa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dodorol Rugama in the 54th minute of play. Estudiantes de La Plata's Ramos Cossa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dodorol Rugama in the 60th minute of play. Ramos Cossa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mincho Terrazos in the 61st minute of the match. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Risso's goalkeeper Zarbonin Basanta, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 66th minute, Estudiantes de La Plata's Haritzeder Montes seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Haritzeder Montes the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Estudiantes de La Plata protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Haritzeder Montes had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Estevao Urtarte shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Estudiantes de La Plata's Ramos Cossa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dodorol Rugama in the 72nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xuaco Tofino in the 74th minute of play forced Estudiantes de La Plata's goalkeeper Ramos Cossa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yader Feloaga struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Zarbonin Basanta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Estudiantes de La Plata. In the 87th minute, Mincho Terrazos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Mincho Terrazos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mincho Terrazos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Risso walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
