Santutxo Saboya fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardo Lanzon having to interfere. With a little luck, Kiyu FC's Bernardo Lanzon got control of the ball when Marcelito Costilla tried to sneak it across the goal line. Club Nacional de Futbol were awarded a corner in the 19th minute after Kiyu FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Marcelito Costilla took the corner. Bernardo Lanzon came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Club Nacional de Futbol's Santutxo Saboya. But to his dismay, Santutxo Saboya quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. With his leg Bernardo Lanzon managed to avoid a goal in the 28thth minute, when Club Nacional de Futbol's Marcelito Costilla fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The crowd rose to their feet as Santutxo Saboya kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bernardo Lanzon. That made the score 4-0 in the 34 minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Club Nacional de Futbol's goal looked a bit too open when Mendebal Olabe came free, but Errapel Alcazar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Errapel Alcazar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Sobron in the 39th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Christian Sobron was the one to do the kick off. Errapel Alcazar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Sobron in the 52nd minute of play. In the 72ndth minute of the game Orlanda Albizua who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kiyu FC's Bernardo Lanzon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Errapel Alcazar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Sobron in the 75th minute of play. In the 77th minute, Saturnin Casias got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Club Nacional de Futbol getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Geraldo Orense hit a great ball. In the 79th minute, Rufo Pipa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 81 minutes into the match, Club Nacional de Futbol's goalkeeper Errapel Alcazar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mendebal Olabe. Errapel Alcazar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saturnin Casias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcelito Costilla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 88th minute, Santutxo Saboya made a precise shot to the right of Bernardo Lanzon. Kiyu FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. The supporters of Club Nacional de Futbol booed when Kiyu FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mendebal Olabe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Club Nacional de Futbol's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
