Canelones FC's Nerio Santisteban got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Balendin Canedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carqueja AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Balendin Canedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oxel Elguea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Canelones FC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Marcos Puelles hit a great ball. If Patxi Cazares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oxel Elguea stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Balendin Canedo's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. Oxel Elguea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patxi Cazares in the 18th minute of play. Balendin Canedo struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Oxel Elguea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Carqueja AFC. After 25 played minutes Canelones FC got a freekick which was hit by Artur Rosales. Patxi Cazares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oxel Elguea having to interfere. In the 29th minute, Franko Gaztañondo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Balendin Canedo in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Oxel Elguea saved Canelones FC from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marcos Puelles during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Carqueja AFC booed when Canelones FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcos Puelles didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Carqueja AFC's Patxi Cazares in the 42nd minute got a chance for a shot 42nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Canelones FC's goalie prevented a goal. Duardo Beamud took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nerio Santisteban, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Balendin Canedo was the one to do the kick off. Carqueja AFC's Duardo Beamud played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Franko Gaztañondo in the 53rd minute of play. Nerio Santisteban took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Duardo Beamud. Duardo Beamud dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. When Patxi Cazares came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Carqueja AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patxi Cazares couldn't finish the play. Oxel Elguea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Balendin Canedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abelardo Benavidez hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. After 70 minutes, Abelardo Benavidez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Canelones FC and the Carqueja AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Carqueja AFC booed when Canelones FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abelardo Benavidez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Oxel Elguea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Balendin Canedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Canelones FC's zone, Balendin Canedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oxel Elguea came out of the goal and Balendin Canedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Balendin Canedo kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Henrico Maimo's late challenge caught a Canelones FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Henrico Maimo helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Canelones FC booed when Carqueja AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henrico Maimo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aznar Gasca was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 89th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Duardo Beamud took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nerio Santisteban, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 96 minutes into the game, Abelardo Benavidez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Duardo Beamud was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Canelones FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
