When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Anaya Capistrano took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Fiz Arciniega to make any attempt to save it. The supporters of Migues FC booed when Canelones FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bidari Rosello didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Migues FC's zone, Damian Arostegui stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fiz Arciniega came out of the goal and Damian Arostegui tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fiz Arciniega made an important save on a dangerous shot by Damian Arostegui in the 24th minute. Damian Arostegui took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fiz Arciniega. Fiz Arciniega dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Anaya Capistrano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 31st match minute, Migues FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernando Novoa to maneuver through the defense. Fiz Arciniega acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 32nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Eder Sena. In the 41st minute, Fernando Novoa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Canelones FC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Raebert Golpe hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Vitor Horbea's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Isauro Bermejo was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. Efrain Telo kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

In the 51st minute, one of Migues FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Migues FC. Vitor Horbea might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Isauro Bermejo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vitor Horbea ran back to his position shaking his head. 61 minutes into the match, Migues FC's goal looked a bit too open when Anaya Capistrano came free, but Fiz Arciniega reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 64th minute of the match Javier Ruicerezo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fiz Arciniega showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Vitor Horbea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Efrain Telo might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Isauro Bermejo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Efrain Telo ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Damian Arostegui managed to get in a good position for a shot. Canelones FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Damian Arostegui was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fiz Arciniega breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vitor Horbea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isauro Bermejo having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anaya Capistrano in the 86th minute of play forced Migues FC's goalkeeper Fiz Arciniega to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 88th match minute, Migues FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rozarius Ferrer to maneuver through the defense. 89 minutes into the match, Damian Arostegui had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fiz Arciniega. Migues FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Damian Arostegui was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. After a rather tough play, Canelones FC's Bidari Rosello got a free kick in the 92nd minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Canelones FC had won after a very even match.
