Asier Oyardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baumer Canive, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Peio Nanclares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martin Pison, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Vazquez AFC getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Santxo Mexia hit a great ball. 25 minutes into the match, Polanco's Benja Uribizalgo broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. When the match clock showed 32 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Martin Pison sped through Vazquez AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Peio Nanclares. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Martin Pison in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Peio Nanclares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 38 minutes, Martin Pison made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Vazquez AFC's Peio Nanclares tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 41st minute, Martin Pison made a precise shot to the right of Peio Nanclares. Vazquez AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Polanco's defense didn't have a chance, in the 45th minute, when Baumer Canive scored to the left of an out of position Asier Oyardo, making the score, 1-4. The Vazquez AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Polanco were winning 1-4.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Baumer Canive to strike the kick off in the second half. Gaueko Bardon charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gaueko Bardon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 52 played minutes Vazquez AFC got a freekick which was hit by Gaueko Bardon. In the 53rd minute of the match Benja Uribizalgo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Peio Nanclares showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Polanco's Martin Pison got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Polanco's Mogel Uria got a free kick in the 55th minute. Baumer Canive's late challenge caught a Polanco's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Baumer Canive helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Polanco booed when Vazquez AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baumer Canive didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Martin Pison's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Peio Nanclares was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. If Martin Pison had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vazquez AFC's Peio Nanclares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Pison in the 64th minute of play. Rios Caicedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peio Nanclares having to interfere. Vazquez AFC's Baumer Canive got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee felt a red card was in order, 74 minutes into the game, when Leon Terrazas put in a rough tackle. After taking down the ball on Vazquez AFC's corner Teodor Salce fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Asier Oyardo quite easily take care of the ball. Benja Uribizalgo tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Asier Oyardo. An unnecessary self made goal, 2-4 in the 78th minute. After having played for 82 minutes, Rios Caicedo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Polanco's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rios Caicedo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rios Caicedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peio Nanclares having to interfere. 98 minutes into the match, Vazquez AFC's goalkeeper Peio Nanclares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rios Caicedo. When the final whistle sounded Polanco left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Vazquez AFC.
