Stephen Somoza kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. In the 4th minute, Matxin Marsella ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Camilo Vicente was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. If Melquiades Mauriz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Atlantida defense, Matxin Marsella kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Camilo Vicente. The Atlantida fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Camilo Vicente should have stopped the shot. Domingos Araña might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Savier Irala. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Domingos Araña ran back to his position shaking his head. Zeruko Jofre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Savier Irala having to interfere. Atlantida's Camilo Vicente played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denis Francia in the 32nd minute of play. Opilano Borja kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Matxin Marsella recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Domingos Araña to strike the kick off in the second half. Atlantida's Camilo Vicente proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Atlantida from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Atlantida booed when Bellaco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Denis Francia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zeruko Jofre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Savier Irala tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Savier Irala made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Domingos Araña in the 76th minute of play. Zeruko Jofre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Savier Irala having to interfere. A collision led to Bellaco getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Faron Alonso hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Bellaco's zone, Domingos Araña stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Savier Irala came out of the goal and Domingos Araña tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Denis Francia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Camilo Vicente tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 90th minute Matxin Marsella shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camilo Vicente saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Savier Irala took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Domingos Araña, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Bellaco had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
