The audience thought a goal was coming when Iigo Sigüenza got free with Honorato Picado in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Iigo Sigüenza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Honorato Picado having to interfere. Nacional's Iigo Sigüenza got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cleto Oyaga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Iigo Sigüenza kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cleto Oyaga made a kick off.
