Reyes Gallinar kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Menafra FC's Fabian Varlett threw himself towards the right post 8 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Leoncio Lanzon, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Maximiliano Avila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 14th minute Mazuste Calzon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marques Loayza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leoncio Lanzon was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 23rd minute. Menafra FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mazuste Calzon in the 30th minute of play forced Menafra FC's goalkeeper Marques Loayza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marques Loayza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mazuste Calzon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 37 minutes, Mazuste Calzon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Miguelete's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mazuste Calzon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 42 minutes into the match, Miguelete's Mazuste Calzon sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marques Loayza narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Maximiliano Avila managed to get in a good position for a shot. Menafra FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Maximiliano Avila was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabian Varlett breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After some careless play in the Miguelete defense, Leoncio Lanzon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fabian Varlett. The Miguelete fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fabian Varlett should have stopped the shot. Mazuste Calzon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marques Loayza having to interfere. Dagoberto Mascarañas kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Maximiliano Avila kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Marques Loayza was a little too slow when Mazuste Calzon got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 67th minute. The score was now 1-1. Fabian Varlett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximiliano Avila in the 70th minute of the match. In the 74th minute Leoncio Lanzon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabian Varlett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Haritzeder Conchas's late challenge caught a Menafra FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Haritzeder Conchas helped the player get up and apologised. After 75 played minutes Miguelete got a freekick which was hit by Haritzeder Conchas. A collision led to Miguelete getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Miliano Buyolo hit a great ball. When Maximiliano Avila came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Menafra FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maximiliano Avila couldn't finish the play. Fabian Varlett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leoncio Lanzon in the 82nd minute of the match. Gilabert Cuadro's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Marques Loayza firmly grabbed it by the left post. The corner ended in Hipolito Agosto almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Menafra FC's Marques Loayza did a great save. Fabian Varlett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximiliano Avila, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
