In the 9th minute, Chorche Masdeu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Carlos Honorato was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Chorche Masdeu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 14 minutes into the game, Mauro Lugardo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Porvenir's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Canelones AFC the free kick. Mauro Lugardo kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. When Fernado Guixot came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Canelones AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernado Guixot couldn't finish the play. Felippe Rado struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Paulin Garros didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Porvenir. Mauro Lugardo struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Canelones AFC's zone, Mauro Lugardo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulin Garros came out of the goal and Mauro Lugardo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Paulin Garros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felippe Rado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Danel Saez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Felippe Rado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paulin Garros read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. Felippe Rado blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Paulin Garros having to make a save. Fernado Guixot's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Carlos Honorato firmly grabbed it by the left post. Paulin Garros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Danel Saez, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. With a little luck, Porvenir's Carlos Honorato got control of the ball when Fernado Guixot tried to sneak it across the goal line. Felippe Rado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulin Garros having to interfere. Paulin Garros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felippe Rado in the 44th minute of play. Berasko Perma struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Paulin Garros didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Porvenir. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Porvenir's Mauro Lugardo got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danel Saez in the 55th minute of play forced Canelones AFC's goalkeeper Paulin Garros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ubelteso Ternero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Paulin Garros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 57 played minutes Canelones AFC got a freekick which was hit by Nesto Lizana. Ubelteso Ternero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulin Garros having to interfere. Porvenir's Danel Saez got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Paulin Garros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mauro Lugardo in the 74th minute of the match. In the 75th match minute, Canelones AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chorche Masdeu to maneuver through the defense. Danel Saez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Danel Saez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulin Garros having to interfere. Felippe Rado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Quinito Beltran in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carlos Honorato prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the referee blew the final whistle, Canelones AFC could leave the field as winners, despite Porvenir having more of the ball for most of the match.
