After recieving a nice pass, Franquia AFC's Leizarraga Periceira tried to score from far away in the 4th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 6 minutes into the match, Franquia AFC's Edgardo Rosinos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Firmin Vesga narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Franquia AFC's Guaberto Menchaca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dalmu Mendi in the 7th minute of play. After 8 minutes, Celino Aspe mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Franquia AFC and the Zapucay AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Zapucay AFC booed when Franquia AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celino Aspe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Charro Avedillo in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Firmin Vesga prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Frisco Guridi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
