Joanes Nestares took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 3rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Nazario Arteaga. Ferrer's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Vedillo Descarrega received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Nazario Arteaga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The attack was good, but when Guipuzkoa Palenzuela in the 11th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. 15 minutes into the match, Ferrer's goal looked a bit too open when Vedillo Descarrega came free, but Nazario Arteaga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mariano Noguerol during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Baristo Descapa's late challenge caught a Ferrer's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lauro Asomoza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Guipuzkoa Palenzuela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
When Vedillo Descarrega came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Vichadero fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vedillo Descarrega couldn't finish the play. Nazario Arteaga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vedillo Descarrega, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Vichadero booed when Ferrer was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mariano Noguerol didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 81 minutes, Guipuzkoa Palenzuela managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vichadero's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guipuzkoa Palenzuela was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
