Quilino Lecea charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Quilino Lecea the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Larrosa getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Quilino Lecea hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Vicheadero's zone, Casomiro Ureta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rogelio Fortis came out of the goal and Casomiro Ureta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Casomiro Ureta to make the kick off. Casomiro Ureta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rogelio Fortis having to interfere. After 53 minutes, Constancio Eleizalde mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vicheadero and the Larrosa players grew even worse after the yellow card. Constancio Eleizalde hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Casomiro Ureta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rogelio Fortis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. After having played for 60 minutes, Casomiro Ureta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Larrosa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Casomiro Ureta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ilazki Cieza struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Rogelio Fortis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Larrosa. The supporters of Larrosa booed when Vicheadero was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramirez Panizo didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Ilazki Cieza took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Rogelio Fortis to make any attempt to save it. Larra Galve struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Galindo Rubayo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vicheadero. Galindo Rubayo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Larra Galve, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bartoleme Ceitegui sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
