In the 4thth minute of the game Ciro Quintero who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Suarez's Waldir Arana was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Suarez's Ortzi Barriobero got a free kick in the 5th minute. If Dei Monterros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 7 played minutes Suarez got a freekick which was hit by Oriol Zayas. 9 minutes into the match, Dei Monterros notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Suarez's Waldir Arana. Waldir Arana was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Suarez's Waldir Arana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dei Monterros in the 12th minute of play. A collision led to Suarez getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Oriol Zayas hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ciro Quintero in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Waldir Arana saved Suarez from getting behind. Ciro Quintero succeeded in the game's 22nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dei Monterros in the 25th minute of play forced Suarez's goalkeeper Waldir Arana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Miguel Poladura took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Waldir Arana. Waldir Arana dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. 31 minutes into the game, Refugio Hita was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Suarez's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lavalleja FC the free kick. In the 31st match minute, Suarez was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Refugio Hita to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Lavalleja FC booed when Suarez was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oriol Zayas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vellito Gamez's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Waldir Arana - 0-4 was put on the score board in the 34th minute. Miguel Poladura's late challenge caught a Suarez's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Miguel Poladura helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Lavalleja FC getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Miguel Poladura hit a great ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ciro Quintero to strike the kick off in the second half. Joaquim Ricaredo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ciro Quintero in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Waldir Arana saved Suarez from getting behind. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lavalleja FC's goalkeeper Pudes Manzano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Waldir Arana was out of position in the 61 minute of play, and Ciro Quintero capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ciro Quintero really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. If Ciro Quintero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Refugio Hita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Pudes Manzano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Suarez's Oriol Zayas suffered a concussion after 89 minutes and had to leave the field. The supporters of Suarez booed when Lavalleja FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Piarres Raposo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Lavalleja FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
