Humberto Loarte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Gurutz Letran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mendoza FC's Gurutz Letran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humberto Loarte in the 13th minute of play. After some careless play in the Mendoza FC defense, Gurutz Gestoso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gurutz Letran. The Mendoza FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gurutz Letran should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gurutz Gestoso in the 17th minute of play forced Mendoza FC's goalkeeper Gurutz Letran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Humberto Loarte managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tiatucura AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Humberto Loarte was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gurutz Letran breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Naike Barriola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 25 minutes, Gurutz Gestoso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tiatucura AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gurutz Gestoso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Mendoza FC's Artal Tarulla got a free kick in the 26th minute. Humberto Loarte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Mendoza FC booed when Tiatucura AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tirso Genova didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 36th minute, Sebastian Moniz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sebastian Moniz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Damaso Rubi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Mendoza FC's Gurutz Letran got control of the ball when Humberto Loarte tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 42 minutes, Artal Tarulla mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mendoza FC and the Tiatucura AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Mendoza FC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Artal Tarulla hit a great ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sebastian Moniz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gurutz Letran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gurutz Gestoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. When Tiatucura AFC's Gurutz Gestoso in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Naike Barriola struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Damaso Rubi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mendoza FC. In the 69th minute Gurutz Gestoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gurutz Letran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Tiatucura AFC's zone, Naike Barriola stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Damaso Rubi came out of the goal and Naike Barriola tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 73rd minute, Sebastian Moniz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sebastian Moniz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damaso Rubi having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Humberto Loarte in the 85th minute of play forced Mendoza FC's goalkeeper Gurutz Letran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Tiatucura AFC booed when Mendoza FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ariel Borjas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 89 minutes Mendoza FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tirso Genova who took care of the corner kick. Laurendi Lacueva was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. A collision led to Mendoza FC getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Ofelio Moniz hit a great ball. The Tiatucura AFC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
