Sazon Sanchez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vergaray Rodas having to make a save. 10 minutes into the game, Lalla Busvidad was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Migues's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rodo the free kick. Lalla Busvidad hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Migues defense, Elizardo Gallinal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Markel Bugarin. The Migues fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Markel Bugarin should have stopped the shot. Lalla Busvidad was extremely unlucky when he, in the 17th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. When Bide Felipez fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rodo's protests and gave Bide Felipez a yellow card for diving instead. In the 22nd minute, Bide Felipez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sazon Sanchez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Vergaray Rodas made a huge save. Ximen Moroño charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ximen Moroño the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 31st match minute, Rodo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ximen Moroño to maneuver through the defense. Sazon Sanchez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vergaray Rodas having to make a save. Zuberoa Piedrahita hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. If Sazon Sanchez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Elizardo Gallinal made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sazon Sanchez in the 55th minute of play forced Rodo's goalkeeper Vergaray Rodas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lalla Busvidad hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Elizardo Gallinal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 59th minute, Fraco Astiategui left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rodo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. If Pinto Mauriz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Sazon Sanchez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lalla Busvidad struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Vergaray Rodas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Migues. Sazon Sanchez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vergaray Rodas having to interfere. With his leg Markel Bugarin managed to avoid a goal in the 85thth minute, when Rodo's Fraco Astiategui fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The supporters of Migues booed when Rodo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lizer Pantojas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Rodo's Ximen Moroño got a free kick in the 92nd minute. 95 minutes into the match, Rodo's goal looked a bit too open when Sazon Sanchez came free, but Vergaray Rodas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
