Celeste AFC's Bilbo Siruendo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vitor Melic in the 20th minute of play. 22 minutes into the game, Resto Palacio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Celeste AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Constitution AFC the free kick. In the 22nd match minute, Celeste AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Resto Palacio to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 23 minutes, Luis-Antonio Arraña managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Constitution AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luis-Antonio Arraña was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Romulo Ozaolaza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 32ndth minute of the game Luis-Antonio Arraña who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Celeste AFC's Bilbo Siruendo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Vitor Melic had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 36th minute, Luis-Antonio Arraña got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Beturian Mazuelos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gomez Pedraja charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luis-Antonio Arraña to make the kick off. The Constitution AFC fans' excitement grew in the 58th match minute when Constitution AFC's Luis-Antonio Arraña looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal.
