Gudesteo Jimilio struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Xano Bolaños didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peñarol. After 5 played minutes Peñarol got a freekick which was hit by Ramone Arteson. Xano Bolaños showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oriol Andrada, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. In the 14th minute, Gudesteo Jimilio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hitzeder Arranz didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 24th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. Hitzeder Arranz made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Xilo Oropeza sent off a good shot on target. Ramone Arteson hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Gudesteo Jimilio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peñarol's supporters rose to their feet, but Gudesteo Jimilio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Xano Bolaños breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 37 played minutes Volcom FC got a freekick which was hit by Ted Susvilla. Hitzeder Arranz was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Felipo Floranes.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gudesteo Jimilio to make the kick off. Peñarol's Gudesteo Jimilio was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 53rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 57th minute Xilo Oropeza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hitzeder Arranz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hitzeder Arranz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xilo Oropeza in the 59th minute of the match. In the 62nd minute, Xilo Oropeza made a precise shot to the right of Hitzeder Arranz. Peñarol's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-4. Hug Terres struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Xano Bolaños didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peñarol. The audience was convinced that Gudesteo Jimilio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Xano Bolaños was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. Oriol Andrada fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xano Bolaños having to interfere. Gonzo Enestrosa kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Volcom FC's zone, Gudesteo Jimilio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Xano Bolaños came out of the goal and Gudesteo Jimilio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Xano Bolaños stood somewhat misplaced when Gudesteo Jimilio came free in front of goal and shot 2-6 to the left of him in the 77 minute. A collision led to Volcom FC getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Xilo Oropeza hit a great ball. Oliviero Marful received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Xano Bolaños tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Peñarol played a much better game than Volcom FC and deserved their victory. The Volcom FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
