When Domingos Labora fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sosa FC's protests and gave Domingos Labora a yellow card for diving instead. After 36 played minutes Sosa FC got a freekick which was hit by Domingos Labora. When Koldo Escoto came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Sosa FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Koldo Escoto couldn't finish the play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
Sebastiano Mandelo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 62ndth minute tested the skills of Joao Zaldo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The Novillos AFC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
